Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh, who was hospitalized in a Saudi hospital after he was injured in an attack on his palace in June, left the hospital late on Saturday and will stay in Riyadh for recuperation, a ruling party official said on Sunday.
"President Saleh left the hospital for a Saudi government accommodation, where he is expected to spend some days for recuperation," said Abdul Hafid al-Nihari, deputy information chairman of the ruling party.
Al-Nihari did not tell when Saleh will return to Yemen, but said acting President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi runs the country during the absence of Saleh.
