Former Madhya Pradesh finance minister arrested

BHOPAL : Two days after evading arrest in a case of sodomy registered against him, former finance minister of Madhya Pradesh Raghavji has been arrested from Kohefiza locality of old Bhopal on Tuesday afternoon.
Raghavji, 79, was arrested from a flat that was locked from outside, the police said. The former finance minister was missing with his family ever since the police registered an FIR against him in the sodomy case on Sunday evening.
Raghavji had moved an application for anticipatory bail in the local court in Vidisha on Monday citing that he is “incapable” of any sexual act following prolonged medical problems.
Raghavji had resigned from his post on Friday after an obscene CD purportedly featuring him surfaced and a police complaint by his domestic help alleging that he was being sexually exploited by the minister was made.
