Woman accused of witchcraft paraded naked in India

In a shocking incident in Madhya Pradesh, A 35-year-old woman who belongs to Adivasi's Koruk community was paraded naked by villagers in Khandva.

The incident took place on November 7 at Bakhar, a village in MP.

The villagers gathered to drag her out of the house at midnight accusing her of practising black magic. Her husband who tried to intervene was assaulted brutally by the villagers after which he managed to escape to reach the police station.

In the name of punishment, some villagers tore off her clothes and forced her to drink sewage water.

The police arrived at the spot after an hour and took the woman to the primary health centre in Khandva where she was declared critical and later shifted to the district hospital.

A case has been registered with the local police and investigation to nab the culprits is on.
