Pakistan's lowest against Sri Lanka

Pakistan achieved their lowest ever total against Sri Lanka when they were bundled out for just 90 runs in 36 over on the opening day of the second Test match at P.Saravanamuttu Stadium, Colombo on Sunday (July 12). It was Pakistan's joint seventh lowest total in Test cricket. Pakistan's previous lowest against Sri Lanka was 117 in 44.3 overs in the previous Test match at Galle. Abdur Rauf who was playing only his third innings in Tests, hung around for 34 deliveries without getting off the mark, making it the second-slowest duck, in terms of balls faced for Pakistan. The record of slowest duck in terms of balls faced is held by Shoaib Akhtar who batted 45 minutes and played 42 balls for his duck against Sri Lanka at Karachi in March 2000. Wasim Bari batted 51 minutes and faced 43 balls for his unbeaten duck against India at Kolkata in 1979-80.
