KANO, Nigeria (AFP) - A bomb blast and gunfire killed at least 10 people and injured 30 others in the troubled northeastern Nigerian city of Maiduguri on Tuesday, a hospital source said. So far we have received 10 dead bodies ... and 30 others injured, some critically, and from the state of some of the injured, the death toll may rise, a nurse told AFP on condition of anonymity. Some of the bodies brought to the hospital have gunshot wounds while others have burns. Residents accused soldiers of shooting indiscriminately and burning homes after the bomb blast that targeted troops, but the military denied the accusations.
