Obama to meet security advisors on situation in AfPak

US President Barack Obama will meet his top national security advisors to discuss the current situation in Afghanistan and Pakistan. After the announcement of the new Afghanistan policy in December last year, Mr. Obama has been meeting with his security advisors once a month. Todays discussion comes after Mr. Obamas meeting with Pakistani Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani here on the sidelines of the Nuclear Security Summit. In almost all the meetings with the world leaders, Afghanistan remained an important issue of discussion for Mr. Obama. Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and National Security Advisor General (rtd) James Jones are expected to attend the meeting. The meeting is scheduled to last for over an hour.
