Facebook website crash creates confusion among Afghans


KABUL- Facebook, one of the world’s most popular social networking sites, crashed due to unknown reasons today morning.

The outage was reported around the world including Afghanistan where most of the people had thought that the site was banned due to improper and irresponsible comments regarding the election, Afghan Khaama press reported.

Several tweet messages were exchanged among the users in Afghanistan saying that the site has been blocked due to improper election discussions among the users.

The crash happened at around 9am, with the Facebook blue branding displayed alongside the message: “Sorry, something went wrong.”

A number of Facebook’s apps were also reportedly affected by the problem. The 15-minute outage affected around 1.3 billion users of the Facebook around the world. The company has not commented regarding the outage of the site so far.
