MADRID (AFP) - Six firefighters were killed and one injured in eastern Spain on Saturday when their helicopter crashed as they were on their way to extinguish a blaze, regional authorities said. The accident occurred at around 1:30 pm near the town of Teruel in the Aragon region, some 400 kilometres east of Madrid, the regional government said in a statement. It said the cause of the crash was not immediately clear. Spanish media said that one survivor among the seven people on the aircraft is in hospital after suffering a cranial fracture and broken limbs.The victims were members of the airborne firefighting service of the Aragon government.
