According to Radio Pakistan, Amnesty International has called for immediate release of nineteen people arrested in India for celebrating Pakistan's victory in the Champions Trophy.

According to reports, fifteen people were arrested in Madhya Pradesh and four in Karnataka.

Amnesty International in a statement has described the arrests as another worrying sign of the erosion of freedom of expression in India.
