11 die in Thai, Cambodian fighting

BANGKOK (AFP) - Three days of heavy fighting between Thailand and Cambodia on their disputed border have left 11 people dead, with another soldier killed on the Thai side, officials said Monday. Six Cambodian and five Thai troops have died as the two neighbours exchanged artillery shells and small arms fire on their jungle frontier. The latest casualty was a Thai army ranger who was killed late on Sunday, said a Thai military spokesman.
