Two paramilitary rangers were killed and nine others were injured in two separate bomb explosions on the local road in southern province of Yala's Raman district Saturday. At about 10:00 a.m. local time, suspected separatist militants detonated a home-made bomb on the local road when a pickup truck carrying rangers were passing by. Five rangers were seriously injured, Bangkok Post online quoted police as saying. The second bomb exploded when another team of paramilitary rangers were on their way to the incident scene to rescue the bomb victims. The militants also sprayed bullets from war weapons at the rangers, killing two rangers and wounded two others. The injured rangers were taken to Yala provincial hospital.
