Shah Masroor promoted as Air Vice Marshal

ISLAMABAD - The government yesterday promoted Air Commodore Shah Masroor Hussain to the rank of Air Vice Marshal.
According to a PAF Spokesman here, Shah Masroor has been appointed as Air Officer Commanding, Air Defence Command. Air Vice Marshal Shah Masroor Hussain was commissioned in November 1984 in the Air Defence Branch of Pakistan Air Force. During his illustrious career, he has commanded various Air Defence Units including a Mission Control Center and also served as Sector Commander.
In his staff appointments, he has served as Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Air Defence) at Air Headquarters, Islamabad.
He is a graduate of Combat Commanders' School, Air War College and National Defence University (NDU).
He holds a Master's degree in Strategic Studies. He is a recipient of Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) and Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military).
