Qureshi appointed as new AIOU registrar

Islamabad - Executive council, a top-level statutory body of Allama Iqabal Open University (AIOU) has appointed a prominent educationist Dr Muhammad Naeem Qureshi as new registrar of the university for a period of three years.
He is likely to take charge of his office on Monday. The executive council, which is appointing authority in the case, made the decision in order to fulfil vacancy of registrar on regular basis. He will replace Prof Dr Nowshad Khan, Chairman Department of Agriculture Sciences who was holding the additional charge of the registrar.
Currently, Dr Naeem Qureshi was working as Registrar Azad Kashmir University. Having almost 32 years experience at his credit as an academician and administrator, he had already served in other leading educational institutions like Lahore University of Management Sciences. He did his PhD and M.Phil in mathematics from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad.  
The executive council, which met under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Shahid Siddiqui decided that key-positions in the university should be filled by the regular staff on full-time basis.
