ISLAMABAD- Met Office said that persisting hot weather spell would subside by tomorrow. According to the department, Gilgit-Baltistan, certain areas of Punjab along with Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are likely to receive light shower. Immense heat waves have gripped the entire Sindh. The temperature surpassed 40 centigrade in several cities including Nawab Shah, Sukkar and Hyderabad in Sindh. The roads wore a deserted look due to grilling heat throughout the country. On the other hand, Punjab residents headed towards canals to ward off scorching heat.
