ISLAMABAD - Central leader of PML-N and former MNA from the federal capital, Anjum Aqeel Khan, has said that PML-N govt would resolve the issues facing the affectees of E-12 and D-12 and would fulfil its commitment toward the welfare of the people.
Talking to the affectees of E-12 and D-12 at Baghar Fetah Bux at the residence of area notable Arshad Mahmood Khan, the PML-N leader said that he would take up the problems facing them with the concerned quarters and assured them of all-out help on part of his government.
The affectees informed him that Capital Development Authority had acquired their land in the area in 1985 but the development work could not be initiated in these sectors and at the same time majority of them was not paid money against the acquired land. They further said that at the time of acquisition of land the price per kanal was fixed at Rs 0.12 million, which if paid at that time was fair enough but now after 27 years down the road the same amount is of little value. Similarly the plots given to them in lieu of their land were of no value because the development work could not be initiated in these sectors till now and the affecttees were loser in both the cases.
These affectees demanded that those who were not paid the price of their land acquired some 27 years back should now be given the current price while all of the affectees should now be given plots in lieu of their land in these two sectors. Member CDA Shaista Sohail, who came here to listen to the grievances of the affectees on the direction of Chairman CDA, listened to the affectees patiently and assured them that she would put up their case in the authority and would try to get relief for them.
