islamabad - To enhance the learning and understanding of the officers and staff of Directorate of Civil Defence, an orientation course for the staff is being organised here at National Institute of Fire Technology on Monday.
Initially some 47 newly appointed officers and junior officials would take part in the orientation course, informed DG Civil Defence Air Vice Marshal (Retd) Ijaz Mahmood Malik. Malik asked all the participants to make best use of their unique opportunity for their professional grooming.
The process of recruitment in officer and other cadres was completed recently in the Directorate General Civil Defence as part of its comprehensive programme to develop its human resource. The course to be held on April 4 at National Institute of Fire Technology was designed to enhance their learning and understanding of departmental working.
This activity shall prove to infuse spirit in the new inductees to transform them to be an asset for the department. Apart from professional grooming classes, eminent scholars and leaders will also deliver talk in this course, as guest speakers.
The commandants and senior instructors will also participate during this course.
