ISLAMABAD During the sessions of Senate and National Assembly held on Sep, 21 to Sep 22 and Nov 01 to 12, without having security passes 66 and 355 guests respectively were taken inside the Parliament House by Senators and MNAs openly violating the Standard Operating Procedures, documents revealed available with The Nation. Taking guests into the Parliament House by Senators and MNAs without having any guest passes, may caused unprecedented security blemish in the countrys top institution. The Special Branch through a letter informed and asked the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad for immediate action on the security violation by the parliamentarian. AIG Police Islamabad in the light of Special Branch report has intimated the IGP office, Secretary National Assembly Secretariat, Joint Secretary IG Islamabad Ministry of Interior to sensitise the parliamentarians to follow the SOPs to avoid any untoward incident. According to documents, available with TheNation, the secret and confidential report by the special branch was moved to IGP Islamabad Police vide Letter No.3383/SB dated Nov 12. The special branch has compiled the list of those members of Parliament who took their guests along with them, with out entry pass. It was requested in the letter that the Speaker National Assembly might be informed about the misuse of authority by MNAs so that such practice should be discouraged in future in the interest of their security. In a bid to ensure the foolproof security of the MPs, the IGP of Islamabad Police in the light of special branch report, through letter No 18-89 (Vol-V)/11464/Sec (CPO) dated Nov 22 informed the Secretary National Assembly, Joint Secretary (ICT) Ministry of Interior regarding the practices of Senators and MNAs, documents available with TheNation. According to the documents, on the occasion of Assembly proceedings on September 20, MNAs who took their guests inside the Parliament House were MNA Tassadiq Masood took his guests Asad Ali, Wajid Maqsood, Mohammad Waris and Abid Sohail. MNA Mouli Agha Mohammad took Syed Ameer Hamza. MNA Jamshed Dasiti took Iqbal Khan and Jam Younas. MNA Sardar Saleem Haider took Mukhtar Ahmed. MNA M Arashad Khan Laghari took Tariq Jalwana and Khuda Bakash. MNA Maulana Asmatullah Khan took Ali Mansha and Nazar Gul. MNA Mehboob Ullah Khan took Ehsanullah. MNA Haji Wazir Din took Usmn Khan and Yasin Khan. MNA Mehr-un-Nisa took Afridi Nafeesa Ghani. On September 21, the Senators who took their guests without prior security permission were Maulana Abdul Ghafoor took Mohammad Tayab, Maulana Bakah Chandio took Junaid Khan, Ghulam Ali took Ibrahim Khan, M Wali Badini took Mir Hamza Badini, M Ali took Col Abdul Zada Khattak, SM Zafar took Ch Bashir Ahmed. Almas Parveen took Sohail Sheraz in the Parliament House. On September 21, the MNAs who took their guests with them were MNA M Nasir took Asif Sharif, Ghulam Mustaffa, Haroon Bhutta and Ghazanfar Bhutta, MNA Nadeem Afzal Chan took Sajad Hussain Sherazi, Ghulam Haider, Ghulam Rasool and Kausar Abbas, MNA Araish Kumar took Khalid Qadoos, Rahmat Ali, Munoj Kamar, MNA Istaqbal Khan took Ameer Rahim and Atta ullah, MNA Jamshed Dasti took Jam M Younas and Allah Bakhsh, MNA Makhdoom Shahbudin took Masood Mian Rehmani, MNA Maulana Atta-ur-Rehman took Ali Mansha. MNA Justice (R) Fakhar un Nisa took Arif Nazami. MNA Mohammad Tariq Tarar took M Arif and M Anayat, MNA Dr Abdul Wahid took Nadir Ali, MNA Asghar Ali Jatt took Shahid Akbar and Abdul Hafeez, MNA Abdul Malik Wazir took Jabir Ahmed. Violating the SOPs, Senators and MNAs took their guests inside the Parliament House on September 22 Senators took 12 guests while MNAs took 33 guests. On November 1 Senators took 10 guests. On November 2 Senators took 12 and MNAs took 32 guests. On November 3 Senators took 8 while MNAs took 44 guests. Moreover, on November 5 Senators took 7 while MNAs took 50 guests, On November 8 Senators took 5 while MNAs took 39 guests, On November 11 Senators took 8 while MNAs took 40 guests, On November 12 Senators took 4 while MNAs took 63 guests.
