Mentioning excellent relations with Bahrain, President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday emphasized on enhancing trade relations and extending mutual cooperation in the realm of defence, labour and manpower. He was talking to Commander National Guards of Bahrain Lt. Gen. Sheikh Mohammad Bin Isa Bin Salman Al-Khalifa, who called on him at Aiwan-e-Sadr. Matters relating to Pakistan-Bahrain bilateral relations, especially the shared perceptions on host of issues of peace, development and regional security, were discussed along with the need to enhance trade relations. The President during the meeting thanked the Bahraini government for its generous assistance during the recent devastating floods. The President, while lauding the leadership of King Sheikh Hamad ibn Isa Al Khalifa, appreciated social and economic development of Bahrain under his able leadership.
