ISLAMABAD - As many as two Pakistan Air Force planes crashed in Jhang and Bhaker areas on Monday. Both the planes were on their routine operational training mission and technical faults were listed as the reason of the crashes.
According to a short statement issued by the PAF about the first plane crash, a PAF fighter aircraft, while on a routine operational training mission, had crashed near Athara Hazari (Jhang). The pilot of the aircraft executed safe ejection. No loss of civilian life and property has been reported on ground, it said adding a board of inquiry has been ordered by the Air Headquarters to determine the cause of the accident. No statement was issued by the PAF about the second air crash occurred in the evening in Bhaker area. In this incident, the pilot also executed safe ejection. When contacted by this correspondent to have a word on the current crash, PAF spokesman Ahmed Waseem did not receive the phone call.
