Man gunned down in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi - A 32-year-old man was gunned down by two assailants over old enmity here yesterday, said police.
The killers managed to flee the crime scene while the deceased was shifted to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital where he was identified as Ameer Gull, a mason by profession, police added.
Police said that Gull was going to his home at 3:30pm when two armed persons riding on a motorcycle intercepted him in street number 31 of Rawal Town, Dhoke Syedan, and opened a volley of bullets at him. As a result, Ameer received 11 bullets and died on the spot. “The deceased received two bullets in head and 9 in the chest,” police added.
Police said the motive behind the murder could be an old enmity between two families belonging to Swabi.
Police lodged a murder case against two accused namely Fareed and Khair Ullah on the application of Ijaz Gull, the brother of the deceased.
On the other hand, the doctors conducted the post mortem of the deceased and handed over the dead body to heirs for burial.
