After sacking of the National Accountability Bureaus (NAB) spokesman Ghazni Khan, Deputy Director NAB Mohammad Naveed Khan resigned on Friday apparently because of the governments interference in the affairs of the bureau. A day before his dismissal, Ghazni Khan, while speaking to a private TV channel, had rejected media reports that the NAB had decided to withdraw cases against President Asif Ali Zardari. He said that the bureau had solid evidence against the president in the cases. Sources said that after the removal of Ghazni, the deputy director also resigned in protest.
