rawalpindi - A 30-year-old man who was shot and injured at Ratta Amral area succumbed to his injuries here at District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital on Wednesday.
The doctors handed over the dead body of the deceased, identified as Umer Ali son of Muhammad Aslam, to heirs after carrying out post-mortem.
Meanwhile, police registered a case and started investigation.
According to sources, unknown attacker launched armed attack on Umer Ali at Meer Colony within the limits of Police Station Ratta Amral and injured him by hitting a bullet into his abdomen.
The attacker managed to escape from the scene while Rescue 1122 shifted the injured to DHQ where doctors started treatment of the injured to save his life. However, Umer succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. Police registered a murder case against the unknown killer and launched investigation.
