The President Asif Ali Zardari has asked the national business community, industrialists and philanthropists to adopt affected villages for rehabilitation and reconstruction on voluntary basis. The President said this while talking to a delegation of elected representatives from Malakand and Buner led by Minister for initiatives Lal Mohammad Khan and comprised Qaiser Wali Khan, MPA, Said Rahim, MPA and Sardar Hussain MPA, here at the Presidency. Interior Minister Rehman Malik was also present during the meeting. The President said that international Community has responded to the appeal for support and assistance in the relief and rehabilitation of the displaced people. He said that the government had urged the international community for greater assistance and that he would be going to the EU Summit this month to seek greater international support.
