ISLAMABAD - Aabpara police station has busted a gang of car thieves and recovered two stolen cars and two stolen CNG kits of vehicles from three nabbed gangsters, a police spokesman said on Tuesday. Following the directions of SP City Zone Muhammad Ilyas, police officials of Aabpara police station further enhanced vigilance to check car theft incidents. A special police team headed by Station House Officer of Aabpara police station Khalid Mehmud Awan including Sub-Inspector Muhammad Ishaq managed to bust a gang of auto-thieves due to the refined strategy and recovered two cars from three gangsters identified as Nisar Ahmed, Saeed and Afzal. These nabbed auto-thieves confessed during the initial investigation to take away seven stolen cars from various areas including sector G-6 in Islamabad. Police have so far succeeded to recover two cars and two CNK kits of vehicles from their possession. Further investigation is underway from them and police officials are hopeful for more recovery from them. A special police team has been also sent to ensure arrest of their absconding accomplices.
