Iranian naval flotilla arrives today

ISLAMABAD - Iranian Naval Flotilla comprising Naval Ships KHANJAR, FALAKHON, HENDIJAN, DAYLAM and Submarine Ghadir 953 are scheduled to visit Karachi port from 02 to 06 May for a goodwill visit.
According to the statement released by Pakistan Navy, the Flotilla is being led by Captain Abbas Ali Jahanbakhsh. The Commander of Flotilla will call on senior officers of Pakistan Navy and will also visit various naval training, maintenance and operational facilities at Karachi.
Besides Naval interactions and visits, various sports and recreational activities will be undertaken. At the end of the visit, the PN ad IRIN units will conduct a customary passage exercise at sea, which includes various naval drills.
Such goodwill visits by naval ships are meant for flag showing and are regular features between navies. In this regard, Pakistan Navy ships also keep visiting various regional countries including Iran to enhance bilateral co-operation. Such visits help in promoting peace and security in the region and are in line with the policies of government to enhance maritime collaboration with regional and extra-regional countries.
