FJWU organises workshop


RAWALPINDI – Department of Software Engineering Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) in collaboration with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) organised a two-day workshop titled “Soft PBX Using Linux Based Asterisk Server” here on Monday.
Farooq Arif, IT Manager of a private TV channel, was the guest speaker of the workshop which was chaired by Dr Naheed Zia Khan, Dean Faculty of Law, Commerce, Management and Administrative Sciences.
Speaking the workshop, Farooq Arif explained the asterisk technology and PBX using Linux. The number of participants was 147 out of which 12 were registered engineers and 4 students of other universities. The purpose of this workshop was to enhance the abilities of the software engineers and to evolve the ways towards new technologies.
