PML-N to stage sit-in outside parliament on Monday for empowering ECP

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz will stage a sit-in outside the parliament house and will take out a long march towards the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday to demand empowering the ECP.
The Jamaat-e-Islami, the Pakistan Muslim League-Functional (PML-F) and some Sindhi nationalist parties are expected to join the PML-N sit-in. JUI-F has however decided to stay away from the boycott as it is annoyed with the PML-N for not supporting it in the parliament over its boycott for governor’s rule in Balochistan.
PML-N stalwart and opposition leader in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had said during a press conference that his party would stage a sit-in outside the parliament for empowering the ECP since an independent election commission was a guarantee for holding transparent election.
