FM Qureshi welcomes US step of providing $110 mln in aid
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi thanked the US for providing 110 million dollars in aid to Pakistan, saying Pakistan was appreciative of this US gesture. In a joint press conference along with the visiting US special envoy to Pakistan Richard Holbrooke here on Wednesday, the FM said the present democratic government made sincere efforts to build national consensus and a way forward to fight against militancy. He said all the mainstream political parties have full support and backing to the fight against militancy in Swat and Malakand.
