ISLAMABAD: Dr Iftikhar Ahmad ex-Chairman, PARC passed away due to a severe heart attack on Friday.

Sardar Sikandar Hayat Bosan, Federal Minister for M/o NFSR, Islamabad, Sardar Ghulam Sadiq Speaker AJK Legislative Assembly, Muhammad Abid Javed, Federal Secretary M/o NFSR, Seerat Asghar, Ex- Secretary, M/o NFSR, Dr Hashim Popalzai Additional Secretary M/o NFSR, Syed Muzaffar Shah, Chairman, Standing Committee on NFSR, Malik Shakir Bashir Awan, Chairman, NSC on NFSR expressed their deep sorrow and grief on the demise of Dr Iftikhar Ahmad Ex- Chairman, PARC.

They said that it was a shock to hear the news of Dr Iftikhar Ahmad's sudden demise! May Almighty Allah bless his soul with eternal peace in heaven and give patience and courage to his family to bear this irreparable loss in particular.

He will always be remembered for his contributions to agriculture research and development. On account of contribution of Dr Iftikhar Ahmad in agriculture sector especially for PARC, this organization has lost an icon, they said.
