Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has sent a categorical message to the government that enough is enough and Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani would not be allowed to remain in office any more. Talking to media persons outside the Parliament House on Friday, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said the government has no danger from any dictator but it would certainly become victim of shoe throwing from the masses. He said despite the Supreme Court verdict, Gilani and the government were hell bent that he has not been disqualified. He said the prime minister came to the House on Friday at the time of prayers when most of the members were not present in the House. He said Mr Gilani would not gather courage to attend the session in the presence of the opposition. Chaudhry Nisar said the resolution presented in the House expressing confidence in the prime minister was against rules. He said during noisy scenes, no body listened the resolutions and it was not clear who voted for and against it. What was more interesting was that at the time of the resolution, Gilani was not present in the House. He said the opposition has no confidence in the prime minister and added it was surprising that Mr Gilani telephoned those people for their support on the resolution who were not present at the time of voting in the House. The leader of the opposition said he has written a letter to the Speaker requesting her to work by remaining within the constitution and law and not make herself controversial. He, however, said the speaker has started playing her role and that was why Mr Gilani was saying that the question of his eligibility or ineligibility would be decided by the Speaker. He also criticized Britain and United States for supporting Gilani and said people’s sentiments were rising against them.
