ISLAMABAD- The 215th death anniversary of the Tiger of Mysore, Sultan Fateh Ali Khan Shahab, also known as Tipu Sultan was observed today. Tipu Sultan was the ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore from 1782 to 1799. He enjoyed important victories against the British in the Second Anglo-Mysore War. He was killed in the Fourth Anglo-Mysore war while defending his fort of Srirangapatnam against the combined forces of the British East India Company and the Nizam of Hyderabad.
