AEPAM trains12,000

Islamabad - Academy of Educational Planning and Management (AEPAM), Islamabad has so far conducted 518 programmes and workshops to impart professional training to education planners.
More than 12,000 education managers from all over the country attended these training programmes and workshops.
The training has been imparted in areas such as Educational Planning and Management, Educational Strategies and policy options, Financial Management, Project Cycle Management, Use of Data in Educational Planning and Management, Computer Literacy and Research Methodology and Report Writing. Sources at Ministry of Education and Professional Training on Sunday said in addition, Higher Education Commission (HEC), since its inception in September 2002 has provided professional training to 25,485 university employees including 17,597 faculty members and 7,888 management/non-faculty staff. They said these professional trainings are an important component of HEC’s reform process and aim to improve professional teaching, research skills, management competency, assessment techniques, English teaching and communication, leadership and governance, strategic management and institutional change under 11 different trainings programmes.
Moreover, the sources said Pakistan Manpower Institute; working under administrative control of Ministry of Federal Education & Professional Training also conducted a total of 483 training programmes and trained 16,548 participants. They said during the financial year 2013-14, a total of
45 training programmes were conducted and 1,731 participants were trained while in financial year 2014-15, so far a total 81 training programmes are planned, of which 54 conducted and 2,215 persons have been trained.
