ISLAMABAD - The PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain has advised the AML chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmed to ask the PTI Chairman Imran Khan to avoid confrontation with the judiciary as this would damage the plans of a grand Opposition alliance.
Chaudhry Shujaat has made a contact with Sheikh Rashid to discuss the possibility of formation of a grand Opposition alliance.
He asked Sheikh Rashid to convince Imran Khan, an ally of Sheikh Rashid, to avoid confrontation with the judiciary.
He said if such an important Opposition leader adopted the course of confrontation with the judiciary, it would be harmful for the grand Opposition plans.
He said after the PML-N, the PTI and to some extent JI have the influence in Punjab to bring the people on the roads.
He said he has also contacted the PPP leadership and will soon contact the JI. He said the Opposition parties instead of raising different voices should be unified in the National Assembly and Punjab Assembly to raise their voice. Both the leaders also discussed the option of unifying the Muslim League factions and contacting Pir Sahab Pagara in this regard.
