Police nab 7 outlaws, seize weapons

ISLAMABAD - Capital police have arrested a car lifter and 6 other drug paddlers and recovered stolen car, 25 bottles liquors, 125gram hashish and two illicit weapons from their possessions. According to details, Toyota Corolla Car was stolen from the area of Police Station Aabpara on 2-12-08. A case was registered vide FIR No.370 U/S 381/A-PPC Police Station Aabpara. The SSP Capt. (Retd) Ahmad Latif directed the In-chrage Anti Car Lifting Cell Inspector Abdul Razzaq to trace the culprit immediately. He constituted a team headed by Muhammad Sharif Assistant Sub Inspector and sent the team to Peshawar. The team after hot pursuit caught one accused red handed namely Ayaz s/o Glaf R/O Jamrod, Khyber Agency and recovered stolen vehicle bearing Registration No LW-7583-ICT. In another development, Shalimar police on the tip of informer intimated SI Abdul Sattar about selling/smuggling of liquor. He conducted raid and arrested one foreigner national lady and recovered 15 bottles of liquor from her possession. Also, Aabpara police arrested one accused namely Ishfaq Massih on Thursday and recovered 10 bottles liquor from his possession. Similarly, Bahara Kau police arrested one accused namely Shah Wali and recovered 130 gram hashish from him on Thursday. Kohsar police have arrested one accused namely Muhammad Hafiz and recovered 1 illicit pistol 30 bore along with 04 rounds. Golra police also arrested an accused namely Farooq Khan and recovered one illicit pistol 30 bore along with 4 round. Cases have been registered against all the accused in the relevant Police Stations and further investigation is under way.
