Motorcyclists arrested after attacking police

Rawalpindi - Two motorcyclists opened indiscriminate firing on a police party deputed at Joint Check Post (JCP) Number 3 when the police tried to stop them at Jhawra on Dhamial Road.
However, the police and Pakistan Army Jawans managed arrest of both the accused and recovered a pistol from their possession.
According to sources, a police party was performing security duty at JCP-3, Jhawra on Dhamial Road tried to stop two motorcyclists on suspension but the motorcyclists breached the police Nakka instead of obeying the order. “The motorcyclists opened firing on police when the police tried to chase them,” sources said, adding after a brief chase the police and Pakistan Army Jawans led by Major Nauman of Aviation managed arrest of the fleeing suspects.
Later, both suspects were handed over to police officials of R.A Bazaar, who started investigation after filing a case against them.
The accused identified as Noman Ashiq son of Ashiq Hussain, resident of House Number s/46, street number, Quaid-e-Azam Colony and Muhammad Ishaq Baig son of Ahsan ur Rehman. Police also recovered a pistol from their possession and impounded their motorcycle CD 70 RIL-7770.
