Seven soldiers were wounded on Thursday when a roadside bomb exploded near a military convoy in Mohmand, local officials said. The remote-controlled device was planted in Kandaro town in the Mohmand region, where government launched a military operation two months ago to flush out Taliban and Al-Qaeda-linked insurgents, a security official said. It went off while paramilitary soldiers conducted a routine patrolling mission, he said. Seven soldiers were wounded, he added. A local administration official confirmed the blast and said the wounded soldiers were not in danger.
