Disappointed I-15 owners stop depositing installments

ISLAMABAD (NNI)- The owners of the flats and plots in the sector I-15 have stopped depositing instalments because they fear that they may not get ownership rights on time. They urged the government to start construction work on Sector I-15 as soon as possible so that they could get ownership rights. According to project rules, the government had to complete the flats by November 2008 but failed to even start work. The sector I-15 was started in 2005 for the low-income people and draw was held on November 30, 2005 and the owners were depositing instalments regularly since then. They stopped depositing installments on the basis of zero construction work in the sector. During the launching of the sector the government had told the public that the sector would be completed by 2009 but the government yet to give tender of the project. Talking to this news agency, Muahammad Tariq Khattak, owner of a flat in I-15 said: "I have been depositing installments regularly in time and very keen to get ownership of flat in the sector but disappointed to know that the government is yet to prepare design and initiate work on the proposed project".
