Robber shoots self to death while fleeing

RAWALPINDI - A robber got himself killed while fleeing on a motorcycle with two of his accomplices after looting cash and jewellery on gunpoint from some females at a beauty parlor located in the limits of Girja Police Chowky, controlled by Police Station (PS) Saddar Bairooni, here on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Rahim Shah while his other two accomplices were Ali Sheran and Aakash. The police registered a case and started investigation. According to the police, three robbers equipped with weapons entered the Ansa Beauty Parlor. The robbers snatched Rs 5000 cash, 4 gold bangles, 4 earrings and 2 rings from the lady customers sitting there and fled on a motorcycle.
However, some passer-bys tried to catch the fleeing robbers on which Rahim Shah tried to open fire at the crowd but he could not do so as the bullet stuck into the chamber. The robbers took a turn and started running the motorcycle to the opposite direction to avoid the crowd. The robbers were on the flee riding a motorbike when their motorbike received a massive jolt due to a speed breaker in the road. Resultantly, one of them, Rahim Shah’s, finger pushed the trigger of the pistol and shot himself. The other two robbers managed to escape.
The police shifted the dead body to the District Headquarters Hospital for postmortem while further investigation is on. No police high-up was available for his comments on the issue.
