PM, others grieved over media person's death

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has expressed grief and sorrow over the sad demise of senior journalist Asad Sahi.
In a condolence message, he lauded his meritorious services for the promotion of journalism.
The senior reporter died of cardiac arrest late Saturday last in Lahore.
Asad Sahi suffered a heart attack and was rushed to hospital where he breathed his last.
Journalists expressed their condolences over the sad demise and prayed Allah Almighty may rest the departed soul in eternal peace.
Former President Asif Ali Zardari, Speaker National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and Deputy Speaker Murtaza Javed Abbasi have also condoled the sad demise.
In their separate condolence messages to his brother, they offered their heartfelt condolence over the sad demise.
While paying tributes to the services of Asad Abbas Sahi, they said he played a vital role for freedom of expression in the country.
They said that the journalists fraternity could not overcome this loss and his services will be remembered in years to come.
They prayed to Almighty Allah to rest the departed soul in eternal peace and grant the fortitude and patience to bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with equanimity.
