All political forces united for democracy: PM

Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has said that today the political forces in Pakistan are one page to strengthen democracy in the country.
The politicians have learned that the democratic process must not be interrupted at any cost, he added.
The Prime Minister said this while talking to a delegation of JUI-F led by Senator Moulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, who met him here on Wednesday. The delegates also included senators Mr. Hafiz Hamdullah and Mr. Ismail Buladi.
The Prime Minister said that it is the fundamental right of every citizen to choose representative of their choice through vote, and this right shall neither be delayed nor denied.”
The Prime Minster emphasized that the present government has endeavored to ensure that the coming elections are free, fair and transparent. He said the appointment of an impartial and independent Election Commission is the proof of our commitment to hold free elections.
The Prime Minister said that political parties have a right to differ and criticize, but must avoid resorting to ways and means that divide or weaken political forces. “People are politically conscious today. Political parties must approach the masses with their manifestos and let them choose.” maintained the Prime Minister.
Senator Moulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri and other members of the delegation assured the Prime Minister of their party’s support to strengthen democracy.
