At least four persons were burnt to death after fire broke out in a commercial plaza here in Islamabad on Monday. According to police fire caused by an electric short circuit in office of Al-Rehman Travels Agency engulfed the basement of a commercial plaza in the Blue area of federal capital near Lal Quarters. The fire spread rapidly giving no chance to the people to escape from the fire. Fire brigade and Rescue 1122 teams reached the site and started rescue operation. The fire was brought under control after hectic efforts of more than one hour. Meantime four persons were burnt to death while several others suffered burn wounds. The rescue teams shifted the bodies and injured to hospital for medico legal requirements. The fire also caused huge losses to offices and other property in the building worth more than one million rupee.
