ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif yesterday said that funds were being provided on priority basis for provision of basic amenities of life to the people.

He was talking to members of National Assembly who separately called on him here. Nawaz Sharif said the government was working strenuously for the welfare of masses and each penny is being spent honestly for the progress and prosperity of the people. The Prime Minister said different development projects are being completed speedily to bring improvement in the living standard of people, said an official statement.  He vowed early completion of infrastructure projects like China Pakistan Economic Corridor.  The elected representatives apprised the Prime Minister about the ongoing development schemes in their constituencies and discussed political matters with him, it said.

The members said the people fully support the Prime Minister’s development initiatives and policies.

Those who called on the Prime Minister included Nasir Iqbal Bosaan, Malik Shakir Bashir Awan and Najaf Abbas Sial.
