Course designed for FCPS part-II exams preparedness

rawalpindi - Senior experts and leading academia in the field of medical education reviewed the course of fellowship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons here yesterday.
It was the fifth six-day intensive review course on FCPS examination concluded at Islamic International Medical College Rawalpindi. This course was designed for preparation for the forthcoming final fellowship examination FCPS in paediatric medicine, which is related to the child health. Forty-two senior professors and examiners across the country gathered to train the students in accordance with the guidelines and examination pattern of College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP).  The concluding ceremony was chaired by Maj Gen (Retd) Masood Anwar, principal of Islamic International Medical College, and attended by Maj Gen (Retd) Salman Ali, principal Fizaia Medical College, and Prof Jamal Raza, dean National Institute of Child Health Karachi.

This unique course has been designed and organised by Prof Samiya Naeemullah to upgrade the students’ preparedness for FCPS part-II examination. Like previous years the event had attracted postgraduate residents from teaching hospitals of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The participants admired the quality of clinical cases and hard work of the teaching faculty. They expressed gratitude for their teachers for their passion in teaching, coaching of resident doctors and dedicated effort. This course will certainly help trainees further their academic credentials. The course was accredited by Riphah International University as continued medical education in accordance with the PMDC criteria.
All faculty members were awarded shields in recognition for their timeless effort.
