Cell set up for evacuation of Pakistanis from Libya

ISLAMABAD - The ministry of foreign affairs has established a crisis management cell (CMC) to monitor the evolving security situation in Libya and coordinate efforts for evacuation of Pakistani Diaspora.
According to Foreign Office, the CMC headed by a director general and assisted by two directors will operate round the clock from today (August 7).
As directed by the prime minister, ministry of foreign affairs is coordinating the efforts to facilitate evacuation of stranded Pakistanis in Libya. Security situation in Libya has deteriorated over the past few days. Pakistan embassy at Tripoli is assisting stranded Pakistanis to evacuate. The embassy in the last few days has already facilitated evacuation of over 2,500 Pakistanis to Tunisia.
