ISLAMABAD – Low pressure and loadshedding of gas continues to increase the problems of residents of the various sectors of federal capital.
Most areas of the federal capital particularly the sector G and I are facing gas load shedding and getting low pressure during different hours due to which citizens had to leave for their daily routine without taking breakfast at their homes due to the unavailability of gas.
The residents of G and I sectors have expressed grievances regarding unavailability of gas or its extremely low pressure in their areas in this cold weather.
Commuters while talking to this scribe complained though most of the people were not using gas heaters in their houses and majority of CNG stations are lying closed in the city, yet we are not getting gas.
Mushtaq Malik a resident of sector I-10 said that citizens were forced to use fire wood for preparation of food, water heating and other purposes as well due to unavailability of gas.
Residents further blamed that the elite class residential sectors are getting gas supply on regular intervals but the middle class sectors I and G are facing gas shortage that is unjust and unfair.
The gas pressure problem is also adversely affecting the commercial activities in these sectors of the federal capital.
The citizens have demanded the authorities concerned to take immediate steps for regularising the gas supply to their areas.
