Role of NUML in bridging cultures applauded

Islamabad - Inspector General Training and Evaluation (IGT&E) of Pakistan Army, Lt Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa visited National University of Modern Languages (NUML).
Rector NUML Major General (Retd) Zia-ud-Din Najam received the honorable guest while registrar, deans, directors and heads of departments (HoD) were also present on the occasion.
While exchanging views with the Rector NUML, Lt Gen Bajwa said that NUML is the only language university of the country and its contribution to develop and enhance cordial relations with different states of the world cannot be ignored. “Language plays a pivotal role to understand the culture of different regions and states, which leads to boost the bilateral relations. Besides teaching of languages, the NUML is maintaining excellence in management sciences, social sciences and engineering programmes,” the IGT&E said. Besides praising the role of NUML in bridging different cultures, the IGT&E emphasised that Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) rules and regulations should be followed to keep the university’s ranking high.
He stressed the need to achieve excellence in higher education sector.
Earlier, Registrar Brig. (Retd) Aminullah Khan briefed the IGT&E about the university in detail in the presence of the rector NUML and directors. At the end, the guest visited different departments of the university.
