Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Noman Bashir has assumed the Command of Pakistan Navy in a graceful 'change of command' ceremony at the Naval Headquarters in Karachi today (Tuesday). Speaking on the occasion, Admiral Noman Bashir said that Pakistan Navy was fully prepared to protect maritime territory of the country. The naval chief thanked President Asif Ali Zardari for giving him such important responsibility. Admiral Bashir said he would strive to the best of his capacity to live up the expectations of the leadership and the nation while performing his duties.
