PPP, MQM discuss joint role

ISLAMABAD - Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has approached MQM to jointly resolve the deadlock situation emerging between PTI and PML-N on ‘Azadi March’ to be held on August 14.
Opposition Leader in the National Assembly Khursheed Ahmed Shah in a bid to defuse the tension held a detailed meeting with the MQM leaders aimed to jointly play a role to resolve the issue politically. “We are ready to play role of bridge to create congenial environment to resolve the issue amicably,” said MQM Farooq Sattar while talking to the media after holding a meeting with the opposition leader.
The MQM leader suggested that negotiations between PTI, PAT and PML-N should be arranged before the call of ‘Youm-e-Shuda’ and ‘Azadi March’. “Confrontation should be avoided and political solution is need of the hour,” said Sattar.
Talking to newsmen, Opposition Leader Khursheed Ahmed Shah said the government should not create any hindrances in the way of long march. “We will not be part of any conspiracy as MQM and PPP are in favour of political solution,” he said and vowed to continue struggle for flourishing democratic system in the country.
