All Pakistan Naat Competition was held at National Broadcasting House of Radio Pakistan here on Thursday.
Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb was the chief guest on the occasion of Naat competition in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW).
Director General Radio Pakistan Khurshid Malik formally inaugurated the competition. With the recitation of the Holy Quran by Qari Akhlaq Madani, the participants of the competition rhymed Naats.
A large number of people from all walks of life attended the function. The function was a joint venture of Pakistan Radio and Pakistan Television. The Naat Competition was divided into four categories including boys below 15 years, girls below 15 years, boys between 15-25 years and girls between 15-25years of age.
Participants from all the four provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir took part in the competition. All participants were be given 20,000 rupees each. Prizes for first, second and third positions were fifty, forty and thirty thousand rupees respectively.
Abdul Rehman Gold Medal was given to the winners of every category. A book on Seerat and CD of Naats and Hamd were also given to all participants.
