ISLAMABAD Pakistan will take on arch-rival India in their third match of Group-B at MA Aziz Stadium in Chittagong on February 2, 2010 in the 11th South Asian Games football event. South Asia Olympic Council (SAOC) has announced the draw of the prestigious eight-nation sports event of the region. The draws for the football tournament was carried out at Dhakas Pan Pacific Sonargaons Balcony Room. The Bangladeshi capital would host the 11th South Asian Games from January 29 to February 9 this year 2010. In the eight-nation show, Pakistan would face India, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan in Group B while Group A would consist of Bangladesh, Nepal, Maldives and Bhutan. George Kottan-coached team would face their three opponents at the M.A. Aziz Stadium in Chittagong, while Group A matches would be played at the Bangabandhu Stadium in Dhaka. Pakistan will try to accomplish the task of memorable hat-trick when Dhaka will host the football event of South Asian Mega sports event, said Pakistan Football Federation (PFF)s President Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat. Also MNA, Faisal Saleh Hayat said, Our main objective in PFF Calendar 2010 is to complete SAG hat-trick. By virtue of those two gold-medal triumphs, Pakistan became the most successful nation of Games 24-year history, sprinted past Indias three golds. Pakistan earlier won the gold in 1989, 1991 and 2004. I feel cheerful that last two triumphs in 2004 and 2006 under Jaffar Khan and Muhammad Essa appeared during my reign, he added. Formerly known as South Asian Federation Games (SAF Games), South Asian Games are a biennial multi-sport event held among the athletes from South Asia. The governing body of these games is SAOC, formed in 1983. At present, SAG is comprised of eight members namely Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka.
